Content Courses

In addition to the NETS•T courses, Virginia’s PBS TeacherLine regularly offers over 100 other research-based courses throughout the year that provide specific training in instructional technology, strategies and the content areas. This “just in time” training helps ITRTs with specific needs and were developed in partnership with some of the top names in education.

These high-quality courses are six weeks in length and are a quick fix for ITRT's looking for specific content knowledge in a short amount of time. Virginia's PBS TeacherLine courses can be taken for 15-45 recertification hours or 1-3 graduate credits per course. In addition to research-based content and methodologies provided in the courses, they also address how to use technology to implement concepts in the classroom and provide guidance in modifying the
instructional approach to meet the needs of diverse learners.

All Virginia’s PBS TeacherLine courses are led by trained Virginia facilitators with content expertise as well as online certification who are knowledgeable about Virginia-specific issues and standards. Courses can be scheduled according to a division’s content and timing requirements.
